Groton and Gales Ferry, Connecticut · Part time · Home and community ABA
$23.10–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience. After-school and early-evening availability. Applicants with two or more consistent weekday afternoons are welcome.
I’m Becky Babek, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, the owner of Behave Yourself LLC. I’m looking for a thoughtful, dependable Registered Behavior Technician to join my small practice and work with children in the Groton and Gales Ferry area.
You’ll work directly with me, receive client-specific training and regular supervision, and have opportunities to ask questions, practice procedures, and use feedback. Your observations will help me understand what is working and when treatment needs to change.
The schedule and location
Sessions take place in clients’ homes and community settings. My current recruiting priority is Groton/Gales Ferry area. Most after-school sessions begin around 3–4 PM. Please tell me your actual start and end times for each available day so we can see whether a current opening fits.
Two or more consistent weekday afternoons will be considered. Weekly hours depend on your availability, client schedules, and the caseload we agree on. Saturday hours may also be available. Reliable transportation to assigned sessions is required.
What working together looks like
Behave Yourself is intentionally small. I remain involved in assessment, treatment planning, caregiver guidance, and clinical supervision. I value staff who notice details, communicate clearly, and ask when something does not make sense.
You’ll provide individualized, one-to-one ABA services. Depending on the child, sessions may focus on communication, play, relationships, flexibility, daily routines, safety, or independence. You’ll implement teaching and behavior-support procedures, collect accurate data, complete objective session notes, and communicate with me about the child’s progress.
Client dignity, assent, safety, and respectful collaboration with caregivers guide the work. I will help you learn the child’s programs through preparation, modeling, practice, observation, and feedback.
